Whatever form of cycling you choose, you need to think about fuelling your body. Whether you’re cycling for fun, commuting, or have dreams of becoming the next Froome, this class is for you.
This event is part of the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival. Find out about our other events here. This event is free to attend thanks to funding from Paths For All’s Smarter Choices Smarter Places programme.

In this workshop you’ll make a few simple and tasty recipes perfect for cycling on the go or a picnic stop.

Here’s what we’ll be making:

Savoury puffed rolls – Choose your filling and roll…

Energy bites – a quick no cook recipe combining fruit, nuts and seeds that you can make in bulk and store.

Carrot cake overnight oats – A simple, healthy recipe that takes only minutes to make.

You can try some of our own homemade cereal bars on arrival.

Once you’ve got the hang of preparing these appetizing travel snacks, it’s time to plan your trip.

This is a hands-on cooking class. All food made can be taken away and enjoyed at home (or while out on your bike).

The workshop will be delivered by Samantha Wells of Random Dining. Sam works with Greener Kirkcaldy, has vast cooking experience, and she is passionate about creating food and sharing her skills.

Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills.  Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
