Talk: Cycle Camping and Bikepacking (Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival)
Wednesday 7th September : 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free

As part of Kirkcaldy’s Cycling festival, we will hear from two experienced bikepackers, George and David. Enjoy a wee snack and a cup of tea whilst listening to their tales of cycling and camping (or bikepacking as it’s known these days).
One of Greener Kirkcaldy’s cycling volunteers, George McDermid, has been cycle camping long before bikepacking was a thing! Sharing stories of past trips, George will consider how things have changed over the years and what inspired him to start camping on two wheels.

David Glover is our Cycle Workshop and Retail Coordinator at Lang Toun Cycles. He will talk about wild camping, tell us about his favourite trips and demonstrate some of the latest bikepacking kit.
Both will share hints and tips for a successful trip and will answer any questions.
This event is part of the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival. Find out about our other events here.
