Our transport projects aims to inspire and support people to reduce car use for short journeys. We run a range of activities and events to help people increase their skills and confidence to change the way they travel, including cycle training and led rides, bike repairs and maintenance workshops, bike borrowing and sales, Kirkcaldy Walking and Cycling Festivals, electric vehicle information events and events encouraging people to fly less.
Our ‘Let’s move up a gear!’ project is funded for 2020 – 2022 by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF). They awarded us £193,226 to run carbon emission reducing cycling and bike activities, alongside a programme of climate change awareness events. We also received £36,917 funding from Paths for All’s Smarter Choices, Smarter Places Fund for our ‘Get Active, Drive Less’ project, which will run between 2020-2021.
