Our transport projects aim to inspire and support people to reduce car use for short journeys. We run a range of activities and events to help people increase their skills and confidence to change the way they travel. This includes: cycle training and led rides; bike repairs and maintenance workshops; bike borrowing and sales; Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival; and events encouraging people to fly less.
Our ‘Let’s move up a gear!’ project is funded for 2020 – 2022 by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF). They awarded us £193,226 to run carbon-emission-reducing cycling and bike activities, alongside a programme of climate change awareness events. We also received £37,861 funding from Paths for All’s Smarter Choices, Smarter Places Fund for our ‘Bike Around Town’ project, which will ran between 2021-2022.
