Make Do and Mend during March with our Sewing Skills and Up-cycled Garments Workshops
Sewing skills Repair Workshop, Saturday 14th March 11:00am – 12:30pm and 2:00pm – 3:30pm in the High Street Hub
Do you have something in your wardrobe that you just don’t wear as it’s too long, missing a button, or has a tear? Now is your chance to rectify that. Bring along a neglected item of clothing to our Sewing Skills Repair Workshop and learn how repair it and give it a new lease of life.
This workshop has a morning and an afternoon session, so please state which one you’d like to attend when booking your place. This event is free.
Upcycled Garments Workshop, Saturday 21st March 11am – 12:30pm and 2pm – 3:30pm in the High Street Hub
Fun, family-friendly up-cycling workshop to help transform your old clothes and rags into something stunning. Bring along a clean piece of clothing or home furnishing textile (eg. pillow case, tea towel, sheet etc) and upcycle it. Even garments that might not be fit for donation to charity shops can be saved from landfill and re-purposed.
This workshop has a morning and an afternoon session, so please state which one you’d like to attend when booking your place. This event is free.
