Introduction to Organic Vegetable Gardening (2-day course)

Are you interested in growing your own fruit, vegetables and herbs? This 2-day introductory course will give you a grounding in all you need to know to get started. Over the 2 days you’ll learn about garden design, soil analysis, composting, seed sowing, dealing with pests organically and much more, with plenty of practical exercises. For more detail of what’s covered, see the course outline.

The course will be held over two consecutive Saturdays (11th and 18th May), at Ravenscraig Walled Gardens, Kirkcaldy (see map). The course will run from 9.30 to 4.30 each day.

The course is accredited by Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) and a certificate from the college is available for any participants opting in to complete an short written assessment at the end of the course. (Note that the assessment is completely optional!).
