Join our Community Food Team for a four-part workshop, where you will learn how to cook healthy and affordable meals, make the most of the food you buy, and effectively manage your energy use and bills.
The course is suitable for beginners, and aimed at young adults aged 16-25 who are leaving home for the first time – whether heading to college, university, or their first home.
We will cover food shopping, meal planning, cooking skills, food storage and using leftovers, managing household bills and budgeting, and safety and energy saving in the kitchen.
Each of the four classes will include practical cooking activities, with the group cooking and enjoying a tasty dinner together. You will leave each session with new skills, practical recipes, and a full stomach.
We are running this fun four-part Thursday evening course twice over the summer, once in July and once in August, so book the programme which suits you best.
Participants are expected to commit to attending all four sessions.
