Community renewable energy meetings 1st and 4th September

Come and help us explore the idea. Thursday 25th August 7.30pm.

Our wild food walk today took us all around Dunnikier Woods – a lovely walk with lots of wild food to be found. Here are our favourite Wild Berries Recipes.

We are offering talks on saving money on fuel bills to community groups.

The first meeting of our new Energy Group will take place on the 19th May 2011 at 7pm-8.30pm at the Greener Kirkcaldy centre.

The Energy Group will look into the options for increasing the amount of renewable energy (such as solar panels and small-scale hydro-electricity) we produce in Kirkcaldy and setting up community renewable schemes locally.

Back by popular demand…  this year’s Greener Kirkcaldy wild food walks will take place on

4th June 11am-1pm – leaves and greens – this was a great success
30th July 11am-1pm – summer berries
1st October 11am-1pm – wild mushrooms

The Kirkcaldy Walking & Cycling project’s public launch event will be held on Saturday May 21st from 10am to 4pm in Kirkcaldy Town Square. This fun day for all ages will include a chance for people to try out different kinds of bikes, watch an exciting stunt display by The Clan, and find out more about walking, cycling and public transport use in the town.
