Meeting of new Energy Group
The first meeting of our new Energy Group will take place on the 19th May 2011 at 7pm-8.30pm at the Greener Kirkcaldy centre.
The Energy Group will look into the options for increasing the amount of renewable energy (such as solar panels and small-scale hydro-electricity) we produce in Kirkcaldy and setting up community renewable schemes locally.
The groups first meeting will have a guest speaker – Jamie Adam of Community Energy Scotland – who will introduce us to the ideas of community renewables and inspire us by telling us about how other communities in Scotland are becoming more self-sufficient in energy and raising money for community benefit.
Please come along to help us form this new group – anyone with an interest and enthusiasm for renewable energy is welcome to get involved – you don’t need to be an expert (but experts are of course welcome too!).
