September at Ravenscraig Walled Garden
September got off to a wonderful start for the garden volunteers, with a visit to the Dundee Flower show. There was a lot to see at the event, from alpacas and Indian style dancing, as well as champion fruit and vegetables.
The high winds in September only caused a small amount of damage in the gardens, and the volunteers just had to do a few repairs to an apple tree, before it was back to work with the normal autumn tasks of harvesting and tidying up.
We also had a visit from a group who were learning English as a second language.
Followed by our annual volunteer Harvest Celebration!
Then a cider making workshop.
