Greener Kirkcaldy appoints new Chief Executive
Greener Kirkcaldy is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Brook as the charity’s new Chief Executive.
Lauren is currently Greener Kirkcaldy’s Development Manager. She joined Greener Kirkcaldy as a volunteer in 2013 and became a member of staff in 2015.
She will take over from outgoing Chief Executive Suzy Goodsir at the start of April.
Lauren said: “Greener Kirkcaldy is a fantastic charity which makes a real difference to people’s lives. It’s been exciting to watch it grow and evolve since I first became involved ten years ago. I’m thrilled to be able to lead the charity into a new chapter.
“Suzy is an inspiring leader and she is leaving some big shoes to fill but she is also leaving Greener Kirkcaldy in a strong position to help encourage people in Kirkcaldy to live better and tread more lightly on our planet.”
Chair Christine May said: “Lauren is a familiar face to Greener Kirkcaldy’s members, volunteers and staff. Her tireless enthusiasm for bringing our community together to tackle challenges is infectious.
“It’s very fitting for a community-led charity that Lauren started her journey at Greener Kirkcaldy as a volunteer. I’m delighted to be welcoming her as our new Chief Executive and I look forward to seeing her lead a new chapter in Greener Kirkcaldy’s development.
“This is an exciting time for the charity as we are about to begin a new strategic plan that sets out our ambitions for the next five years and reflects what people have told us they would like to see in in the area.”
