February Closet Clearout
Wednesday 10th February, 4.30pm – 6.30pm, St Bryce Kirk Centre, Kirkcaldy
Apparently, more than £5 billion worth of clothes lie abandoned in British wardrobes. It’s easy to forget what’s hiding in the back of your wardrobe or drawers, and once loved clothes often never see the light of day again.
We’re encouraging people to be more aware of their wardrobes and regularly clear them out. You might fall back in love with an item you forgot you had, so stopping you from having to buy something new, or you might find lots of things that you really no longer want or need. We have an easy solution for that too… bring unwanted, but clean, gently used clothes, bags, shoes, hats, scarves along to our February Closet Clearout event and swap or donate them!
If you see something amongst the other preloved items that you could see yourself wearing, you can ‘swap’ and take it away (for free!) and someone else may fall in love with your old gems and give them a new home too. We’ll donate everything that’s leftover to local charity shops, meaning that everything brought along will be reused rather than wasted in landfill.
This event is free and there’s no need to book.
Remember, you loved your clothes when you bought them, so instead of just dumping them in landfill or in the back of your wardobe, give them a chance to be loved by someone else too!
Can’t make it to the event? We will be having more events soon, or you could drop clothes you’d like to donate at our High Street Hub. See more details on our Closet Clearout Campaign.
