Fairtrade Fortnight in the Eco Shop
Fairtrade Fortnight is a national event that this year runs from 23rd February to 8th March. We will be celebrating it by offering Fairtrade refreshments, every Wednesday to Saturday, throughout Fairtrade Fortnight in our High Street Hub, giving you the opportunity try out some of the Fairtrade products we stock in our Eco Shop and find out more about why Fairtrade matters. We’re also keen to encourage other local businesses and organisations to make the switch to Fairtrade, so if you’re interested in learning more about Fairtrade and why your support is so important, pop into our High Street Hub to learn more and pick up leaflets to share with colleagues and friends.
On Friday 6th March we’ll be holding our own film showing of “Fairtrade Matters”, marking the end of Fairtrade Fortnight. This evocative and thought-provoking short film by director Will Robson-Scott for the Fairtrade Foundation will be shown between 3 and 4pm in the High Street Hub. The screening is free, and there is no need to book your place.
To find out more about why we sell Fairtrade in our Eco Shop, to see what we have in stock, or for enquiries on our film showing, or how you can help your business or organisation make the transition to Fairtrade, drop into our High Street Hub, 254a High Street, Kirkcaldy, 10 am to 4 pm, every Wednesday to Saturday. You can also contact us on 01592 858458 or by emailing info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk. More on Fairtrade Fortnight can be found at fairtrade.org.uk/fortnight or www.greenerkirkcaldy.org
