Monthly Climate Cafe – October
“We are heading for a Low Carbon Scotland… but how do we get there?”
To address this question, the Scottish Government launched a nationwide Big Climate Conversation this summer, asking people to come together locally to discuss their thoughts on climate change and what steps we need to take, together, to tackle the global climate emergency.
Feedback from these conversations will be used to help the Scottish Government update its policies and the shape the changes we will all need to make to help Scotland reach its target of net zero emissions by 2045.
In the first of our monthly climate cafes, we’ll use the Big Climate Conversation to examine the Scottish Governments’ proposed measures, discuss how to incorporate them into their everyday lives, map our local aspirations and challenges onto the national strategy, and share our collective response with the government.
Our climate cafe is a new monthly event to bring people together and inspire sustainable living. We’ll have guest speakers, films and discussions and together we’ll explore ways we can help reach Scotland’s goal of net zero emissions by 2045.
Refreshments will be provided.
