This workshop is an introduction to baking for the festive season – using a range of techniques to create traditional treats.
We’ll make a fruity stollen loaf and shortcrust mincemeat pies.
On our fun and informative workshop you’ll learn some basic recipes that you can then adapt at home to create a range of options.
We’ll look at the ingredients and techniques – and how to feel confident when baking.
The course is hands-on – we’ll make mincemeat and shortcrust pastry from scratch and we’ll create our stollen using a sweet enriched dough. There will be time to discuss, taste and compare notes.
You’ll leave inspired and ready to continue baking at home.
The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new. Please bring a large box and a bag to take home your creations.
There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
