Smart Cooking – 8 week Basic Cooking Skills and Budgeting Course

Posted on 13th August 2018 by Jackie Arreaza

Wednesdays from 15 August – 3 October:  10am – 12pm, Torbain Church, Lindores Drive, Templehall

Fridays from 17 August – 5 October:  – 11am to 1pm, Kirkcaldy Methodist Church, St Clair St, Gallatown

Smart Cooking is Greener Kirkcaldy’s 8-week basic cooking skills and household budgeting programme. Anyone can come along especially if you: are a beginner cook; want to develop your skills and confidence around food, and you’d like to learn to budget your money better.

The classes are small, friendly and fun. You don’t need to bring anything, we’ll supply everything and you’ll get food to take home.

We’ll include sessions on:
• Food, shopping, and meal planning
• Food storage and using leftovers
• Managing household bills and budgets with Citizens Advice and Rights Fife
• Energy saving in the kitchen and home with Cosy Kingdom

Fife Council Community Food Team will be offering their experiences and helping us deliver some of our programmes.

We run programmes on a regular basis – contact us to find out if there is one happening near you. If you are part of a group or organisation in Kirkcaldy, we’d be happy to run a course for you.
