Community Meals at Greener Kirkcaldy

Our weekly Community Meal provides an opportunity for local people to meet each other, share stories and eat together. We aim to make tasty and nutritious meals that anyone in our community can share with dignity and choice.
We serve over 2,000 meals per year. We wouldn’t be able to do this without our supporters. In particular, our dedicated and committed volunteers.
Everyone is welcome!
Where is it?
Greener Kirkcaldy’s community building, 8 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT. Only limited disabled parking is available. Our building is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
What time?
Our community meal starts from 4pm on Wednesdays. You can tell us when you want to come in when you book.
Do I need to book?
Call us on 01592 858458 or pop into the Welcome Area at East Fergus Place to book a place. Or sign up at the meal for the following week. Please let us know what time you want to come in and please only book your own place. We are not able to hold spaces for other people who have not booked.
What is the food like?
Our amazing team of staff and volunteers prepare fresh, home-cooked meals from food that would otherwise go to waste. All food we serve is vegetarian or plant-based, in line with our values. The menu changes every week and is designed on the day of the meal.
What does it cost?
We accept donations towards the cost of the meal. You can pay as little or as much as you as you are able to. Any donations help us to meet the costs of running the Community Meal.
Please note: Our Community Meal is a safe space where everyone can feel respected, supported and nourished. We will not tolerate antisocial behaviour. Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.
