Streetlife: Feetlife (kids online art workshop)
Join us for our online kids art workshop for ages 5-9 and their families. Conjure up your perfect car-free neighbourhood at our Zoom workshop. What would it look like? We’ll make a collaborative map of a town where you could play and run around without worrying about traffic.
You’ll need pens/crayons/pencils and paper as a minimum, but other materials are fine to use on top of that. Let’s try to imagine a whole town that is perfect for outdoor play!
Artists Catherine Lindow and Hazel Terry will lead the workshop. They love drawing and can’t wait to hear your ideas!
Zoom is great for collaborative workshops – we ask that cameras and microphones be switched on so that we can share and discuss our drawings. We will also be joining up our work using screenshots, so let us know if you are uneasy about photos (your child need not appear).
All participants will start with the same basic shape on a piece of paper – this can be emailed to parents for printing. If you don’t have a printer that’s no problem – we will give really simple instructions so you can draw it yourself (straight lines to a given size, no artistic flair required)!
Younger participants may need help to make best use of Zoom. Parents are encouraged to be present to offer assistance.
This event is part of Kirkcaldy Car-Free Week.
