Few can resist the delicious smells of Christmas baking: ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. We’ll make use of all of these in our festive baking workshop. Making your own cakes and pies is easier than you think. You’ll also be ahead of the game at this busy time of year too.
Christmas Stollen –You’ll bake a delicious, festive stollen full of dried fruit, marzipan and spices. We’ll take a step-by-step approach learning skills and techniques you can use when baking at home.
Plum and Apple Mincemeat – This is a lighter and fresher version of the traditional classic. Packed with fruit and warming spices, take home your mix ready to finish at home. We’ll share our favourite ways of eating mincemeat not in a pie! (This recipe is plant-based)
This is a hands-on cooking class. All dishes made can be taken away and enjoyed at home.
This workshop will be led by Jackie and Ger from the Community Food Team. Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
