Cycle ride and talk with special guest Markus Stitz
Markus Stitz is a well-known cyclist and author who is passionate about travelling by bicycle. He became the first person to cycle around the world on a single-speed bike in 2016. He has lots of incredible stories from his cycle adventures to share.
As part of the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival, Markus invites you to join him for a short cycle around Kirkcaldy starting at 5:30pm (limited spaces). Following this there will be some food and a talk at our starting at 6:30pm at our Community Bike Shop, Lang Toun Cycles.
There are 10 tickets for the cycle ride & talk and 30 tickets for the talk.
Markus will present a talk on bike-packing, climate-friendly travel and how to get into it. He will share some of his adventurous stories while showing how accessible bike-packing can be without spending a fortune on all the gear. He will also talk about how cycling can help climate change and how we can inspire others to try cycling.
There will be the opportunity for you to purchase a signed copy of his latest books, Bikepacking Scotland and Great British Gravel Rides.
Attendees at the event will have the opportunity to enter the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival prize draw.
