A poem from George
RWG and Active Travel Volunteer George has shared ‘a wee poem I wrote some time ago, perhaps even more relevant today in the light of Zoom family gatherings becoming a little more commonplace’.
Apart
We sit together
Alone
Across time and life
But each
At that appointed hour
With technology our friend
We remember family scattered, severed by no knife,
And raise a glass to those now gone whom we had loved the most
And in one extended room
Propose a toast
