Step out of the cold and into the comforting warmth of our festive kitchen where the scent of cinnamon, saffron, and fresh baking fills the air. This hands-on workshop is a joyful journey through winter traditions from around the world – a chance to slow down, get creative, and connect with the heart of seasonal celebration.
Together, we’ll explore three beautiful bakes that each tell a story:
- rich marzipan-filled stollen from Germany
- golden saffron buns of Sweden’s Saint Lucia Day
- buttery, aromatic festive spiced shortbread — a creative twist on a classic Scottish biscuit
Whether you’re a seasoned baker or simply love the magic of festive food, this workshop offers a cosy, welcoming space to learn, create and take home treats that will light up your winter table. These recipes are more than just delicious – they’re steeped in culture, warmth, and the spirit of sharing.
You’ll leave inspired and ready to continue baking at home.
Our workshops are fun and informal, our tutors will support you to prepare the recipes, we’ll chat and answer questions as we go.
The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new. Please bring boxes to take home your creations.
This workshop is suitable for vegetarians. We’ll use wheat and dairy in this workshop. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when booking.
