Saturday 13 June – Seedlings and Food Club in the Hub

Let your garden benefit from the skills of our gardening volunteers, and start growing your own vegetables with vegetable seedlings from our community gardens at Ravenscraig. Pop into the High Street Hub this Saturday, Saturday 13 June, and pick up locally-grown aubergine, courgette and pepper plants for your garden in exchange for a donation.You can also supplement the health and biodiversity of your veg patch by adding butterfly and bee-friendly planting using Kabloom wildflower seedboms, also available from the Eco Shop in the High Street Hub.

We’ve started a Sustainable Food Club, to help get good affordable food to our tables, including fresh, local fruit and veg. If you’d like to know more about the Food Club, please pop into our Hub on Saturday and chat to Kitty or Louise. We’ll also have fresh strawberries to munch on and rhubarb to buy!
