Grow Your Own: Pruning and Winter Preparation
When : Saturday 12th September, 10am – 12pm
Join us in our last Grow Your Own of the year where Mags will be helping us prepare our gardens for the winter. We will cover the basics of pruning and discuss the important question – to dig or not to dig? – There are methods of no-dig gardening! Mags will also talk us through the vegetables that can be grown over winter so neither your plot nor plate need lay bare. This time of year is the perfect opportunity to start planning ahead for your 2016 garden as well.
This workshop is open to beginner gardeners or anyone wanting to know more.
The session is free. We’ll supply all the equipment, including tools and gloves at the workshop, and there will be some light refreshments. Dress for the outdoors, and you might like to bring your own gloves if you have them.
