Are you ready to plan and prepare your garden for the growing season ahead? Would you like some advice and inspiration? Come along for a chat, reflect on last year and think about the possibilities for this year.
Visit our training garden, meet our volunteers, see their work, and find out what’s being planned at our garden and orchard at Ravenscraig for this year. Join us for a chat and a coffee/tea.
We will take a walk around the garden to look at what has been achieved, giving you lots of ideas and inspiration to take back home. Our gardening staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer you free advice and help with planning your 2019 crops.
We will also reveal all the exciting events and workshops we have coming up this year!
There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
This is an open event – no need to book, just come along!

Directions to Ravenscraig Walled Garden
The entrance to the Walled Garden is on Dysart Road, at the junction with West Quality Street (don’t go into Ravenscraig Park, and don’t park in the Ravenscraig Park car park – the entrance is on the road, not in the park). The Walled Garden entrance is a large green metal gate. Come through the green gate (it will be open) into the Walled Garden car park. Then follow the path around to your right into the main part of the Walled Garden and look left: you will see a green ‘cabin’ and a polytunnel. That is our Training Garden, where the event is taking place. Follow this link to an interactive map.
Parking onsite is limited – if the Walled Garden car park is full, you can park on West Quality Street. We encourage you to walk, cycle or use public transport if you can. The nearby bus stops are West Quality Street and Dysart Porte. There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
