Local businesses that make a difference
Be part of tackling climate change – join us at our monthly climate cafes for films, guest speakers and discussions.
From our daily food choices to the gadgets we use, what we put in our homes to how we spend our leisure time, making sustainable choices that benefit the environment and our communities can be tricky, especially if there isn’t a local economy that supports these choices.
At this month’s online Climate Café you’ll hear from local businesses that make a difference. Showcasing some of Fife’s small businesses and social enterprises that are forging a path for living ethically within our local community, you’ll hear from pioneering business owners and project leaders who work across a range of sectors – including retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism – and learn how their work is helping to reduce carbon emissions and create a sustainable, local economy.
Guest speakers include:
- Louise from Eloise Jewellery and the founder of Artisan Fridays
- Lee from The Ecology Centre‘s Tool Library and Tool Shed projects
- Lizzie from The Beach House
- Roslyn from The Baker’s Field
- David from our new social enterprise, Lang Toun Cycles
- Johno from 4eyedimensions
- Louise from Grain & Sustain and Up She Pops
The event will take place on Zoom. There’ll be time for you to ask questions, too, and will end with a discussion on what more we can do within our local communities to bring about the changes we want to see.
