Further to the Government’s recent update on COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our events from now until the end of April. Full refunds will be given.
We are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events, including new dates for postponed events.
As part of our regular workshops for cooks interested in exploring how to switch from meat and poultry in their diet to plant-based ingredients more often, this class will focus on Mexican food.
The Mayan and Aztec cultures have had maize, beans and squashes at the heart of their diet for thousands of years (known as the three sisters). Pulses are also very sustainable and recognised as a “super food” so we will look at ways of using different beans and pulses in our diets. The course is hands-on and all food prepared at the workshop can be easily recreated at home for family or friends to dig into. On the menu there will be:
- Bean and tortilla soup
- Butternut squash tacos and enchiladas
- Chimichurri and salsa
