Community Garden Open Afternoon – Lettuce and Salad (Postponed)

Further to the Government’s recent update on COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our events from now until the end of April. Full refunds will be given.

We are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events, including new dates for postponed events.

Have you started growing for the year ahead or is it something you would like to try? Would you like some advice and inspiration? Then visit our Community Garden and Orchard on Saturday afternoon.

Come along for a look around, meet the garden volunteers and we’ll give you some ideas and inspiration to take back home.

This month we will be starting off our salad seeds. There’s no need to buy bags of salad when you can grow your own easily at home. Salad leaves grow well in pots only needing a small space, if you grow your own you can pick your favourite leaves fresh throughout the summer.

We’ll give you some tips and you can get some practice by sowing various types of seeds.

Our gardening staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer advice and help. No experience necessary.

Refreshments will be available.
