Greener Kirkcaldy Community Open Day

Join us to celebrate the launch of our new building and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen – a place for people to come together to cook, eat and learn.

Come and look round our new community building, which includes two community kitchens, an events space, a kitchen garden, a new distribution point for Kirkcaldy Foodbank, and is the base of our Cosy Kingdom energy advice team, free bike borrowing scheme (which includes 6 electric bikes!) and new Community Fridge.

We’ll have tours of our kitchens and soft drinks and nibbles. We’ll also be joined by a very special guest to help us celebrate our launch – Jamie Scott, Head Chef and Patron of The Newport Restaurant, and BBC Professional MasterChef winner from Fife. Jamie will be doing some demos, cooking up some local food to taste with tips on how to reduce food waste.

There is limited disabled parking on site and we are a 5 minute walk from both Kirkcaldy Bus Station and Train Station.
