Get a Taste for Growing – Beginners Potatoes
Learn how to grow your own potatoes at home. This short workshop is for people new to growing – potatoes are easy to grow and can be planted in a garden or in bags, if you have a smaller space.
Although potatoes are readily available and not expensive to buy, it’s rewarding to be able to harvest your own crop. Lots of tasty varieties are available to grow that you won’t get in the supermarket.
Our gardeners will share their knowledge and experience of growing potatoes and we will cover how to plant them in the ground and in bags. We’ll prepare a potato grow bag for you to take home and care for. Bags, seed potatoes and compost will be provided.
No experience necessary, suitable for beginners.
This workshop is for beginners & anyone new to growing. Please bring gardening gloves if you have them, if you do not we can provide some for you.
