Discover the world of Moroccan spices and the wonderful ingredients used to create aromatic dishes that are full of flavour. We will blend a spice mix and use this to make some classic dishes from this part of the world.
Make you own Ras El Hanout– This is a classic Moroccan spice mix which translates to “Head of Shop” as it was a blend of the spices from the top shelf in spice stores.
Moroccan Stew – Slow cooking is very popular in this region. We will make a casserole style dish using your own spice blend and some amazing ingredients like saffron, pistachios.
Hummus & Sesame Flatbread – Learn about and make fresh hummus and simple, tasty flatbreads to enjoy in the class with a demonstration of how versatile this dish is.
This is a hands-on cooking class. All dishes made can be taken away and enjoyed at home. Veggie and Vegan recipe alternatives are always available – please indicate any individual requirements on the form when you are booking.
This workshop will be led by our Community Chef Iain McLellan, a skilled and talented Head Chef with over 20 years cooking experience. Iain is passionate about world cuisines and sharing his love of flavour combinations.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food.
