Sunday 24th July : 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Come along and try out an e-bike. Join us on a short ride to see how much easier they make it to cycle up hills!
We will provide e-bikes for you to borrow for the ride.
The two rides will be targeted at different types of cyclist – please choose the ride that best meets your needs.
Rides will be 10:30-11:30am and 12-1:30pm. Please come along during the 15mins before the ride to choose your bike beforehand.
The 10:30am ride will be a leisurely ride, mainly on traffic-free paths. We will head along the Prom before testing out the bikes on the hill up to Ravenscraig Park. This ride is suitable for less confident cyclists who don’t currently cycle much (although you must be able to cycle).
The 12pm ride will be a longer, faster ride, testing out some of Kirkcaldy’s legendary hills. The ride will be on a mixture of traffic-free paths and quiet roads. This ride is suitable for people who are already confident cyclists, but who would like to try out e-bikes
We will be meeting at the Basin car park on the Prom (near Morrisons).
Participants should be able to cycle for 1hr (at a leisurely pace for the first ride, or at a faster pace for the 12pm ride), and must be at least 16 years old. Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather.
The event is free but booking is required. If you are having trouble booking you can call 01592 858458 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
We have some electric trikes that you may be able to borrow for this ride. If you would like to borrow one, please get in touch with us in advance to arrange this.
You do not have to own a bike to take part in this event.
