Creative Cooking with Christmas Leftovers (online)

Christmas dinner is the best meal of the year, but sometimes our eyes are bigger than our bellies and we just make too much food! Join Community Chef Iain to learn his favourite festive recipes to use up Christmas dinner leftovers – you won’t hear “Oh, not turkey again?!” this festive season!

Christmas can be an especially wasteful time as we get carried away at the supermarket, overfill our plates and just cook too much.  According to a study by waste charity Hubbub, 73% of people in the UK have leftover food at Christmas, with the equivalent of 2 million turkeys and 74 million mince pies going un-eaten each year.

This workshop will have cooking demonstrations, recipes and discussion; share some top tips to avoid food waste, including how best to use your freezer, understanding food dates and how to manage your Christmas shop, and you will have the opportunity to ask the chef anything – including how long to cook the turkey!
