Further to the Government’s recent update on COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our events from now until the end of April. Full refunds will be given.
We are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events, including new dates for postponed events.
The cuisine of the Middle Eastern countries is diverse but they also share many similar ingredients but cooked or flavoured differently.
In this workshop join Jenny Thomson from Courses for Cooks where we’ll use common flavours from that area: sumac; preserved lemon; mint; and more, to create delicious food for you to make and eat.
We’ll be making the following dishes:
Spinach & Sumac Turnovers (Vegetarian)
Baked Aubergines, with lamb (gluten free) or with couscous (vegetarian)
Carrot salad with cumin & preserved lemons (vegetarian & gluten free)
The workshop will be led by an experienced chef with plenty of time to discuss tips and compare notes too. When you have cooked your dishes, we’ll all sit down to taste the food with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink (Inc. in the workshop fee).
Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you are booking.
You’ll leave inspired and ready to experiment at home with Middle Eastern Food.
There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
