Community Garden open day (Doors Open Days)
Sunday 14th September : 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

As part of Doors Open Days 2025 in Central Fife, we are opening up our Community Training Garden where our Nature and Growing team will be on hand, leading tours throughout the day. You can learn about what we grow, our projects and walk through our orchard of around 80 trees.
As well as garden tours there will be activities linked to various Greener Kirkcaldy projects and a chance to explore and find out more about nature and the environment.
There is no booking required for this event, just drop by for a visit! Refreshments will be provided.
Our Community Training Garden at Ravenscraig Walled Garden offers courses, training and volunteer opportunities in gardening and growing your own fruit and vegetables.
Our space includes a polytunnel, raised beds, seating area and an indoor classroom. We also maintain a Community Orchard with over 100 fruit trees and a ‘wild area’ set aside for nature.
Accessibility
There are accessible parking spaces on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. The venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.
Some parts of the tour take place in the orchard area of our gardens which is not recommended for wheelchairs due to steep access and narrow and uneven pathways.
If you have any other accessibility questions please phone 01592 858458 or email info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk.
