Get a Taste for Growing – Beginner Seeds

Growing from seed is a cheap and rewarding way to enjoy vegetables and salad. In this workshop, our experienced gardeners will share their knowledge of growing. We will provide pots, seeds and compost for you to then sow some of your own to care for at home.

We’ll help you decide what to grow based on your space and what you like to eat.

Please wear warm outdoor clothing, and prepare to be outside. No experience is necessary, suitable for beginners.

The workshop will take place at Ravenscraig Walled Garden and is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Directions to the Ravenscraig Walled Gardens will be provided in the booking confirmation and reminder emails.

Accessibility

There is unmarked parking on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. Venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.

This event will mostly take place in the orchard area of our gardens which is not recommended for wheelchairs due to steep access and narrow and uneven pathways.
