This workshop is an introduction to vegan baking, learning techniques to create delicious dairy-free treats.
We’ll make a luscious chocolate cake and light, fluffy scones.
On our fun and informative workshop you’ll learn some basic recipes that you can then adapt at home to create a variety of options.
We’ll look at the ingredients and techniques – and basic principles so you can adapt recipes to be dairy-free. We’ll discuss substitutions for eggs in a range of baked goods and the best plant-based options to ensure your cakes and scones are light and delicious.
The course is hands-on – we’ll make our cake and scones from scratch. There will be time to discuss, taste and compare notes and you’ll leave inspired and ready to experiment at home!
The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new. Please bring 2 large boxes and a bag to take home your creations.
There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
