Art in the Garden – Soft pastels
Join local artist Tori Bishop for a relaxing, creative afternoon in the beautiful surroundings of Ravenscraig walled gardens.
The session will begin with warm up exercises and short studies designed to introduce drawing techniques using soft pastels. Participants will be encouraged to experiment and explore the possibilities of the material. There will be the opportunity to work on a longer study, giving participants space to develop their own visual language using the materials.
No experience of art or working with soft pastels is required.
We are hopeful for sunshine, but have a cabin and open sheltered area on-site to retreat to if necessary!
By popular request we have extended the length of this workshop to 2.5 hours to allow everyone to enjoy some extra time.
We’ll provide tea, coffee, juice and cake during the session.

Accessibility
There are accessible parking spaces on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. The venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.
