Adaptive bike taster – Halloween edition

It’s Halloween and we are heading out into the woods! Amazing opportunity to sample all of the bikes available at Lochore Meadows, toast some marshmallows and share some spooky stories.

Bikes include:

• Side By Side
• Duet
• O-Pair
• Recumbent hand & Pedal trike

This ride is aimed at people who use or would like to try out adaptive bikes, their careers, family & friends.

Mountain bikes are also available to accompany riders using the adapted bikes.

There will be training available showing you how to use the various bikes.

There will be an opportunity to try various bikes before we head out on a short journey together within the traffic free environment of the country park.

Route information

Distance – Short

Hills – no hills

Surfaces – A mixture of smooth, good quality surfaces and sections that are uneven, with loose gravel.

Route – traffic-free paths

Additional Information

Please note that this bike ride is weather-dependent.

Participants should be able to cycle for 1 hour at a leisurely pace with breaks. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Remember to also bring your own water and snacks. Hot drinks and marshmallows will be provided, let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

If you bring your own bike please make sure it is in roadworthy before coming.

The event is free but booking is required. You can choose to purchase a ticket with a donation. Donations help us do more work in our community.

Our booking form includes a series of optional anonymous questions. These help us learn more about the people we reach through our events. Any information you choose to share about your background is managed separately to information that you give us to process your booking (for example, your name).
