Middle Eastern Food is rooted in a variety of cultures from around the Mediterranean, Red, Arabian, and Caspian Seas. Its main flavours are rich in aromatic, fragrant herbs and spices loaded with grains and very colourful. You will be making:
Burani Bonjon – an indulgent slow-cooked aubergine dish from the Afghan region.
Mejadara – decadent lentil and rice dish with caramelised onion and spice from the Levant region (a stretch of land bordering the Mediterranean in South-western Asia).
Sam will demonstrate simple Parsley and yoghurt flatbreads to accompany these dishes.
This is a hands-on cooking class. All food made can be taken away and enjoyed at home.
This workshop will be led by Samantha Wells our Community Chef.
Sam has years of experience as a private chef and brings a wealth of culinary skills and knowledge of both local and world cuisine to The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food.
If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
