In this cooking workshop you will explore the flavours of Thailand and make some authentic dishes: two main courses; a side dish; and a dipping sauce:
Kaeng Lueang (Yellow Curry) – a delicious, coconut-rich dish simmered in fresh curry paste filled with galangal, cumin and chillies – delicious with chicken, fish or tofu.
(Pleases indicate when booking if you want to cook with chicken, fish (white fish) or tofu.
Pad See Ew – a commonly eaten quick and easy street food noodle dish (Veggie).
Satay-style beans – a Thai-inspired side dish using freshly made satay – great for jazzing up green veggies
Nam Som Prik Dom – marinated chillies using classic Thai flavours. Sam will demonstrate this traditional Thai dipping sauce and condiment which keeps well and is entirely moreish!
This is a hands-on cooking class. All food made can be taken away and enjoyed at home.
This workshop will be led by Samantha Wells our Community Chef. Sam has years of experience as a private chef and brings a wealth of culinary skills and knowledge of both local and world cuisine to The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food.
