Folklore Round the Firepit with Sarah Wedderburn-Ogilvy

Stories offer us another way of seeing the world: one in which trees have stories of their own, the seas have tempers, and humans aren’t always in charge.
Join Scottish storyteller Sarah Wedderburn-Ogilvy round our firepit for an exploration of our relationship with the natural world through folklore and traditional tales. Expect wonder, mischief and moments of reflection as we consider what it means to belong to the living world around us, and the importance of rest and renewal for those working to protect it.
This event has been made possible due to the Scottish International Storytelling Festival’s Big Scottish Story Ripple initiative. The Scottish International Storytelling Festival (SISF) is organised by Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland (TRACS) and the Big Scottish Story Ripple is supported by The Scottish Storytelling Forum.
This event will take place around a firepit in our garden at East Fergus Place. We will move indoors to the Community Space at East Fergus Place if there is adverse weather.
