Join us for a family‑friendly coastal ramble and litter‑picking walk from Kirkcaldy to Seafield Tower led by Rubbish Rangers.

Take part in a relaxed coastal litter‑picking walk designed for families, children, and anyone who loves being outdoors. Together, we’ll explore a stretch of the Fife Coastal Path, enjoy time in nature, look out for local wildlife (including the local Seafield seals), and help keep our coastline clean. From toddlers to teens and adults, everyone can join in and make a positive difference.

This event is planned with kids in mind, so the pace of the walk and litter-picking will be adjusted to little participants. Seafield Tower will be the end point where participants can rest, enjoy a snack, and hopefully spot seals relaxing on the rocks, before returning to the car park.

The walk itself is child‑friendly, but the rocks around the tower and the nearby coastline are very uneven. Children must remain under close adult supervision in this section, especially if they climb onto the rocks to get a better view of the seals.

Additional Information

Please note that this event is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before. We will contact attendees via phone and email if the walk cannot go ahead.

Dress for the outdoors – wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Bringing water and light snacks for young kids is advised as well. As this event is organised with children in mind, dogs are not permitted.

Litter pickers, high‑vis vests for kids, bin bags, and children’s gardening gloves will be provided. Disposable gloves will be available for adult participants, but you’re welcome to bring your own gardening gloves if you prefer.
