Walk to the event with us!
Leaving from the Kirkcaldy Heart on the Esplanade at 10:30am. No need to book, just meet us at the start point!
Join us for a sociable stroll linking Kirkcaldy Town Centre and Ravenscraig Walled Garden. We’ll head from the Heart on the Prom, past an intriguing sundial, Ravenscraig Castle and the coast and through the beautiful park and woods to our Walled Garden where there will be activities including tours and refreshments.
The 1.5-mile walk (one-way only) will take around 45 minutes, and be on fairly flat, paved surfaces with some sections of gravel footpath. There are some steps, which will be by-passed if participants prefer/require a step-free route. Contact us if you need any more information on the walk.
This event is part of Fife Climate Festival and we have recieved a small grant from Fife Communities Climate Action Network to support this event.
This event is also part of Lang Toun Fest, taking part across Kirkcaldy this June. www.langtounfest.com and the Eden Communities Big Lunch.
Accessibility
Please note that there is a road closure on Dysart Road so if you are travelling by car you may have to follow a short, local diversion to get to us.
There are accessible parking spaces on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. The venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.
Some work may be done in the orchard area of our gardens which is not recommended for wheelchairs due to steep access and narrow and uneven pathways, let us know if you would have issues getting the the orchard area as we can adapt the session to take place in a more accessible area.
If you have any other accessibility questions please phone 01592 858458 or email info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk.
