Climate Friendly Homes
Make your home warmer and more energy-efficient, lower your energy and repair costs and reduce your carbon footprint.
Our Climate Friendly Homes project inspires households to reduce their energy use and make lasting carbon reductions through an innovative programme of home energy advice visits, workshops and online communications. The way we heat and power our homes accounts for almost a third of our individual carbon footprint, but we know, from consulting our community, that even when people want to tackle climate change, they can lack the knowledge or confidence to make changes to their homes.
Our team of qualified energy advisors can help you make meaningful, long-lasting reductions in your carbon emissions. We’ll look at the energy efficiency of your home, chat to you about your household behaviours and create a tailored action plan that you can follow.
We can offer advice on:
- improving your home’s energy efficiency
- behaviour changes to reduce energy usage
- green energy tariffs
- home renewables
We also offer a free thermal imaging service and draught testing, and make referrals to Home Energy Scotland for financial support and technical advice.
