Hard to heat, hard to treat – our journey to net zero at 8 East Fergus Place
Since we purchased our community building at 8 East Fergus Place we have been working to reduce its environmental cost. The building was the local library headquarters and required a total refit. It’s also a listed building which puts limits on what we can do.
Over time, we’ve made big improvements including fitting solar panels, more efficient lighting and insulation. This retrofitting has created a substantial carbon saving.
We’re working on documenting this journey through a series of case studies. We’ll update this page as we develop more information and as we make our journey towards net zero.
