Film Night – The Age of Stupid

Tuesday 27th November, 19:00 – 21:30, Greener Kirkcaldy Advice Centre.  

Join us for our very first film night.  This month we’ll be showing Franny Armstrong’s ‘The Age of Stupid’ starring Oscar nominated Pete Postlethwaite.

Pete Postlethwaite’s ‘archivist’ character looks back at old footage of the ‘Age of Stupid’ from a future earth devastated by climate change and asks ‘why didn’t  we stop it when we had the chance?’.  The film follows 7 real-life stories of people around the world whose lives are already deeply affected by climate change.  Described as ‘An Inconvenient Truth, but with a personality’ (LA Times), the film was funded via ‘crowd-funding’ and has been shown around the world.
