In January people all over the world are encouraged to try plant-based cooking and eating throughout the whole month. This workshop will demonstrate some tasty and warming winter comfort foods. Adding another twist to this workshop we’ll also be using a slow cooker. If you are curious about this energy efficient way of cooking, you will learn some useful tips and hacks to get the most out of these appliances.
Roast garlic polenta with mushroom ragu – mushroom ragu is a versatile dish that can be eaten simply with veg or as a main ingredient in lasagnes and pasta bakes.
Slow cooker chocolate lava cake (demo) – a delicious and irresistible chocolate cake made in a slow cooker.
All recipes are suitable for a vegan diet.
This cooking class will include a demo and some hands on cooking.
This workshop will be led by Samantha Wells our Community Chef. Sam has years of experience as a private chef and brings a wealth of culinary skills and knowledge of both local and world cuisine to The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
