Sustainable Seasonal Seaweed
Join us on a walk from our site at Ravenscraig Walled Garden to Dysart Beach as we go for a coastal adventure.
Professional Seaweed Harvester, Jayson, of East Neuk Seaweed will teach us how to identify local, seasonal and edible seaweeds.
We will use sustainable harvesting techniques to take some home with us. Jayson will inspire us to explore the possibilities of using seaweeds in our kitchen and garden!
At the end we will share a cuppa and discuss ways in which we can help to conserve this valuable resource for the next generation.
This is a great chance to take part in a fun and informative morning.
The workshop is suitable for over 16’s only and will involve some physical activity over potentially rocky terrain. Access to the beach is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility.
