Sunday Social – Lang Toun Boot Route
Sunday 12th June : 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
A leisurely bike ride taking in Beveridge Park and the Prom, with a route that forms what looks like the boot shape of Italy!
- Distance – medium
- Hills – mainly flat, with two hills.
- Surfaces – mainly surfaced, with a short stretch of compacted earth/blaes.
- Route – half on traffic-free paths, half on quiet roads.
Join us for a leisurely bike ride. This ride will go along the Prom before coming back to Beveridge Park via quiet roads. It will finish with a loop of Beveridge Park.
This ride is ideal for people who are looking to progress from our shorter rides. Whilst this route is relatively flat, the two uphill sections will give you the chance to improve your fitness cycling uphill. It will also provide you with the opportunity to build up your confidence cycling on quiet roads.
Please note that this bike ride is weather-dependent.
Participants should be able to cycle for 1- 1.5hrs at a leisurely pace. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Please make sure your bike is roadworthy before coming and wear appropriate clothes for the weather. We will carry out basic bike checks at the start of the ride.
Remember to also bring your own water and snacks.
If you are riding an adapted bike and have any questions about whether or not you would be able to take it on this ride, please get in touch to find out more.
The event is free but booking is required.
