Explore unusual memorials in Abbotshall Churchyard, then journey on to the Old Kirk for a special guided tour of its magnificent stained glass windows. The tour will be led by Rosemary Potter of the Kirkcaldy Old Kirk Trust. Weather permitting, it will also be possible to climb the tower for splendid views over the town and coast.
We’ll return via the Esplanade for mince pies and hot drinks at the Greener Kirkcaldy building.
The 1.5 mile walk will be mainly level along pavements and paths and will take approximately 2 hours including the guided tour inside the Old Kirk.
Part of our Bike, Walk, Move programme.
Please note that this walk is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before. We will contact attendees via phone and email if the walk cannot go ahead.
Participants should be able to walk 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather. Remember to also bring your own water and snacks if you feel you need them.
If you want to know more specific information about the route please contact us. You can call 01592 858458 or email email@example.com
The event is free but booking is required. You can choose to purchase a ticket with a donation. Donations help us do more work in our community.

The route is suitable for most wheelchairs or pushchairs (there are some steps, but these can be avoided). Unfortunately, the tower can only be accessed by stairs.
Toilets (including disabled access) are available at the Old Kirk, and in the Greener Kirkcaldy building at the end of the walk.
Please let us know of any accessibility requirements when booking.
